Karoline Amalie of Hesse-Kassel (11 July 1771, Hanau – 22 February 1848, Gotha), was a German princess member of the House of Hesse-Kassel and by marriage Duchess of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.
She the daughter of Landgrave (later Prince) William I by her wife Princess Wilhelmina Caroline of Denmark and Norway, daughter of King Frederick V.
On 24 April 1802 she married Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg, who in 1804 succeeded to that duchy. The marriage remained childless.
